yep, That's all right, talk about sucking! I do have pics of the aviaries, but they are real, pics, not digitals, I'll try to scan some and see if I can add them as everybody has been wanting to see them.
I had nearly 1000 or so birds from 100 species at that time, no way to move all them, then I finally got a messy inheritance straightened out and am now back on my 150 acre family farm, so it's time to get them all back.
I had them for over 20 years, and miss them a ton.
I had some awesome set ups too, the Bronx Zoo came down one year and interviewed me, videoed my set ups, and later approved me for collecting and housing a very large collection of waterfowl for them while they built a massive waterfowl exhibit for them, that was quite an honor to be trusted that much by them, it had to go threw the Wildlife Conservation Society's Curators Board for approval there at the zoo, they dont play!!
And yes, I meant 2 pairs for $100, I personally know people that still sell them for $40-$45 over $60 is crazy over $45 is for woddies in my opinion, they are the most common of all captive migratory waterfowl..
Oh, Giffy, that was NOT "incorrect" dead on for Federal, maybe, IN ADDITION, but I was speaking on a Federal Level which covers ALL of us reguardless of individual state laws, there's no way anyone person can know all 50 states individual laws, shoot I cant keep up with half of GA's,
There are a small handful of aggravating states that do require additional papers for poultry in general, so anyone may want to check with your own local state. But all of us MUST have the Federal papers for any native migratory waterfowl, period...
The FEDERAL paper work (U.S.D.I.) is only required for waterfowl that naturally migrates threw the North American continent.
Over half of way you can keep in captivity does not require it.
