Need your help regarding integrating flocks!!!! Please help!!!

I hatched 2 pullets and integrated them at about 13 weeks. Mine free range so I let them out in the morning and they spent a lot of time keeping aaway from teh others. There was pecking at feed times but nothing serious. Milly, the smallest got most of it and kept out of the way. They slept separately in the stable for about 3 weeks and then we moved them in with the others after dark a couple of nights and all was fine. I think it is easier if they free range as they are able to choose to be away from the others until they are settled. Now everyone is together in the field. Good luck!

We integrated successfullly 16 little girls with 2 18 month big gals in September. This is what we did......
Starting @ 7 weeks old we built a "segregation" area in the hen house. Big Gals could see little girls but no touching or pecking could ensue.

Then @ 11 weeks we started letting them into the run together, but closely watched. I kept a water squirter near by for any problems. We sat outside with them for almost 3 days straight.

That's me "watching". Then we stayed in the house and watched from there on day 4 and 5. No real problems at all.
Then on the 5 night, after the chickens were in bed, I snuck out and opened the door to the segregation area and let them be all together. No problems. After they had all been together for about a week, it rained and my husband noticed all the little gals standing outside in the rain looking sad. He went out and found our Sam chicken (she is a B***H) standing guard at the pop door not letting the little ones in!!! She went into the segregation area for 7 hours by herself. She got in enforced time out!!! She had to watch the little girls in her coop!! No problems since. Everyone is getting along and doing just fine! Best of luck to you!
