Don't think we got a drop of rain all last month. News said it was our driest month in history. Now there saying we just had the wettest day in history. Lots of flooding an the schools are closed.

My breeding stock is fine hanging out on roosts but I lost a bunch of young birds that had never saw rain before. That's life though.

Isn't that the way it always is? Feast or famine. So sorry to hear you lost some of your chickens.

Here in Ohio, Saturday, it was in the 90s with a heat index of 112, and now it's in the 60s and kind of overcast. You go from one extreme to the other. Winters are always what I worry about......I'm always worried about the cold weather affecting my small flock.

Well, take care and I hope it clears up nicely for you,

Sharon

Yea, it was around 95 day before yesterday an 65 today an still raining. I texted a friend in the valley last night to ask if they were building arks yet. The creek in the city that is usually only ankle deep is set to crest at 17 feet.
