I had 5 silkie chicks and called 4-5 of them before they were crowing. I wouldn't be surprised if those waddles start forming soon.

Could take him home. If it starts crowing, let it breed (to incubate the eggs), and rehome afterwards to keep the peace with your neighbors. With luck, you'll get some hens from the chicks.
