Hi. I've had chickens for the past 10 years, started with 20 up to 200 this past summer. That includes 13 roosters. Mixed flock of breeds including bantam. I love all of them and try my best to take great care of them. I have multiple coops as the and they are separated as is comfortable. They all have large runs and the 'big coop'gets to free range the yard. And some live in my barn. I have horses llamas & a goat as well and of course my dog. They all are pretty content. Lately I've noticed a decline in the flock with no sign of anything - my guess is hawks as we are surrounded by woods and they are quite bold - 1 actually flew right into the barn as I was in it. There is not much I can do about that except pray the roos have there eye to the sky. The bantam coop is covered. My llamas surround the coop area so I've thus far we've been lucky about the larger predators. I do have some health concerns I need to ask about and as this is my intro to BYC I hope this is where I ask.
I've been coming back here looking at people's threads and see so much useful information, I hope you can help us.
For quite sometime every so often 1 of my chickens will start to limp. After about a week or 2 they become less active and after a while they can't walk. Jo sneezing, sniffling..just a limp. They are any age from young to old as I do not cull my birds. Naturally after a time they die. I've been told "vitamin b deficiciency' but it's got to be more than that. Any ideas?

I have, but I would think that would attack the entire flock at much quicker rate. This is very sporadic. But I will read up on it again...its been awhile.
Sometimes it doesn't attack the whole flock at once. Usually it's just one or two and here and there.

What state are you in?
You could send one bird into your state lab for testing.
