Needing Help With Necropsy GRAPHIC!

I believe I remember seeing them a couple of years back? I suppose that my deworming may have killed the carriers but not the pathogen. I will give them some metronidazole in the morning.
You might also want to start them on Baytril. Almost all birds with blackhead will get a secondary E. coli infection, and for that you will need something like Baytril, or maybe eben your Zactran? Talk to your vet.

Thought you all might want to see what Marek's tumors of the liver look like:

FWIW, the bird with that liver also had ocular and cutaneous Marek's.

This is an amazing thread! Thank you to all who have posted here!!

4-5 years ago, I had an issue with blackhead in turkey poults. I chalked it up to inexperience and drastically changed how I raised any chicks, poults, or peachicks after that. It's very helpful to be reminded though that even with a good worming program and good quarantining practices that these illnesses still can show up. It's so easy to get complacent when things are going well.

Thank you again!!
