I have a big dilemma and I need some help I have a new incubator and my father gave me four quail eggs to start with I put them in and seven days later my father gave me 12 chick eggs I also put those in but I did not know anything aboutlockdowns and humidity so now I'm in trouble because tomorrow I need to lock down my quail eggs but I have 12 chick eggs to still be incubated and locked down on the 25th so when I locked down my quail eggs I'm going to lose my chick eggs. Does anybody know what I should do.
Welcome to BYC! It's ok. I do lots of mixed species hatches.
Last year I did ducks, quail, turkeys, geese, and chickens all together! I had a 90% hatch rate!!!

They'll be fine. Just unplug the turner. Once the quail start externally pipping, up the humidity until they hatch. Then remove them and lower the humidity back down, and plug The turner back in. The chickens will be totally fine.
