sup y'all! I was looking for info about local chicken ordinances and found this sight... Wow! love it. I've owned all sorts of pets, but never any chickens... I'm interested in farming my own eggs and also having some nice chicken poop to put in my compost pile 
Plus, my 6yr old daughter has been asking for them as pets forever, she wants to be a vet so win win. I look forward to all the good info that it looks like this site has! Gotta make sure I know what I'm getting into before I commit.
