@HeritageGoose13
Northern California, but I can go as far as LA or Nevada to find them a good home.

@ChristieB I don't care about laws, all I care about is if they'll survive and live a decent life, since my neighbors are ******** it's almost going to be impossible to keep them.

Offer them up on Craigslist for your area... Some one will want them. There is one more option.... but you wont like it. Kill em yourself process em and put em in the freezer ..... This way the money you put in to raising them up wont be wasted.

Likely is who ever takes em off Craigslist will be doing that.

If you turn them loose they will not have a decent life. Just like any domesticated animal they dont have the skills to survive in the "forest" they will get taken by a coyote like a fast food drive through.

I rather keep them if those are the only options, but hopefully there will be some nice vegans with big yards on craigslist.

And all of this goes to show why I thoroughly despise having neighbors

and thoroughly enjoy my current living arrangement. I can't see any of my neighbors whatsoever, I guess having 200 yards of woods between us will do that.

Why wont they eat fertile eggs? If they support abortion they should be fine with a little white dot.

For the same reason they wont eat Jello... um er gelatin or vitamin capsules made with gelatin.... Vegans take it to the Nth degree when it comes to their Vegetarian lifestyle.

Some wont eat milk either or cheese.... In any form.

I hope the people I give them to will be normal vegetarians that like eating fresh eggs and love having chickens around. If they have kids it's a plus, because even if the adults want to get rid of them the kids won't let them after they get attached. I know vegans go overboard, I wonder if theyre allowed to drink milk from cows theyre raising themselves in a good environment.

its the process of making milk .... having a new calf every year only to have it removed after the first 24-48 hours... if they are boy calves they go to making veal.... Even I who am not a vegan or animal rights person I object to veal.... but thats a whole other subject besides the OP which is dealing with neighbors who hate chickens.

Actually Kids and roos are something to be kept an eye on. They can actually be dangerous to small children.

For what its worth there is a sale section here on BYC you might offer them up there. Other than that... find a rescue or use the animal shelter....

When I have my poultry setup rebuilt I will have a place for bachelor roos. They will have a good life till time to go to freezer camp. I would rather spend my money feeding them myself then processing them for my own table. I also have the luxury of having twenty acres between me and my next neighbor... Most of us have chickens or poultry of some sort.

Of course I am a softie and will have those few that will have a forever home... But I can only feed so many extras that don't produce food for the table in some way or another. They will have a job though protecting my flock from predators.
