not really...but I can really tell I'll get a picture.
Do you have a electrolyte solution on hand? If not,do you have Gatorade(if no)mix up some sugar water, see if you can get him to drink some,or drop a bit onto his beak,so that it rolls into him.

Clean wound,if you cannot locate a bullet, then maybe it passed through him,but i am doubtful. Clean and apply an antibiotic ointment(nothing ending in "cain/cane",toxic to chickens). Look like very little blood, make sure it has stopped bleeding. Main concern is for shock, give him the electrolyte or Gatorade or sugar water, whichever you have. Keep him quiet,if wound is not bleeding and not very deep, leave uncovered. Watch for infection, signs of infection are: redness, swelling, foul smell, rooster not eating, lethargic. Do you have a vet?

Have you located an exit wound? If wound is not very deep, then maybe bullet grazed skin(this is the best case scenario).

I'm so glad he's doing better! I'm afraid your neighbor needs a talking to from the poliece! Or more! What an awful person!! I' can't believe that he thinks he has the right to go around shooting others animal's! You can't imagine how angry this makes me! I'm so grateful that my neighbor this my chickens are "cute". If someone shot my bird I'd go nuts! You handled this a lot better than I would have! If this isn't the first time how are you going to stop this man from doing it again! Your poor rooster! I'm afraid he will do it again! Is there anyway you can stop him? Have you contacted the authorities? I sure wish you the best and I'm so sorry you're neighbor is such a creep!
