neighbor wants to buy our eggs!!

According the the actual requirements for labeling free range means that they need to have the door open (but they don't need to go out of it) for a prescribed proportion of the day. I think it is actually half an hour. Free range is one of the biggest BS terms when used by the industry. I am so disenheartened sometimes by the FDA, it seems like they go out of their way to mislead.

When I advertize on Craigslist I put Pastured Eggs in the title, and further explain in my ad that they are backyard chickens who sleep in a coop at night, but have free range of my back yard every day.

"free range" is a BS term that is over-used in the egg business, and I never use it to describe MY eggs becaues of that.

How about the term "farm raised free range chicken eggs for sale. I just started selling mine but do not have regular customers yet ! Everyone comments that they do taste good but it seems like a problem for folks to make special trip just for eggs
