Neighborhood Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions...

I live in a neighborhood that is in an unincorporated area of Yuba County, CA. The county seems to allow keeping of chickens. Here is the verbiage:

Does the county ordinance look like you're only allowed to keep chickens if you live on an acre minimum? There are no other paragraphs dealing with animals.

The neighborhood C, C, R reads to me as long as you're not operating a working farm you're ok.

How much noise would 4 hens make? Would my neighbors even notice 4 hens next door?

After some further research, our house falls under a separate zone for our area, there is no mention of animals of any kind in the ordinance for our zone. Nothing seems to be a parent to our ordinance, so does that mean I can do whatever I want? Within reason of course, I don't want to ruin a good thing.
