Neighbors are feeding wild raccoons, now what.

What he is doing is illegal in many states and Canada. Think it's cute but most of those animals will have to be put down because him being an idiot and training them to to be dependent on him. He and you might think it's cute but once they start trying to do it to that to his neighbors and the coons get aggressive over not being fed everything is his fault.

Still love my 2 fluffy pet coons but hear those coons growling, they are about to the point of attacking. Been there and have the scars. Hell "tame" coons can attack and both mine have me. Why I make sure they are ok before my son plays with "his" girl.

Morons will be morons and as much as I hate stupid laws sometimes they need to be placed to protect people because others want to be stupid. That video is a prime example of stupid being stupid.
What he's doing is obviously not illegal in Canada. He's been doing it for over 10 years and has been checked out by the authorities. In your opinion, he's stupid, while you have pet raccoons yourself. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Do you not see the difference in that neo71665's coons will NEVER interact in the wild again? They will NEVER exchange diseases with wild raccoons. They will NEVER approach other people in a tamed/wild state. They will NEVER look for food from other people who have no idea that these wild animals have been altered by human behavior.

Once, while riding a children's train ride around our City Park, we saw people picnicking. They had a blanket spread out on the ground, with a lovely display of food laid out. Of course in the middle sat a large amount of fried chicken. The picnickers were a few feet away with their backs turned, all fishing in a large pond. As we rumbled by a raccoon ran from a tree and grabbed a chicken leg and began eating it on the blanket. The people on the the train all began to yell. "A raccoon is eating your chicken".
I guess you had to be there.

Sounds like a raccoon who had been watching Yogi Bear cartoons. โ˜บ๏ธ
