Well, it sounds like I'm going to have colored eggs! I was hoping that would be the case, I've heard that EE's are very sweet. As far as bringing the neighbors into the fold (or coop!), I don't think they are the type. I will of course offer them eggs just to be nice
All of my hens are pretty quiet. I have EEs, Dominiques, Cuckoo Marans and Welsummers. My quietest AND friendliest are my Light Brahmas. I wouldn't trade them for the world! On the downside, it took them a long time to start laying, they were around 7 months before they started laying, when the rest of my hens were laying around 5 months.
