Neighbor's dog killed our chickens today!!

We live in a small town and the neighbors dog wiped out my flock, and we took one of them to the pound when it went after my ducks. They tried to tarnish our name to the locals and the neighborhood, but no one would have it! Finally a few people piped up and put them in their place. Most people know right from wrong and it's wrong for people to let their dogs run loose and kill other peoples animals. I like dogs and don't want to hurt them but if its killing my food and friends, It's asking for it and so are the owners.
