She's very pretty, I am so glad you decided to keep her.
Maybe wait until dusk as she is about to jump into her tree roost, mine always are tamer then and easy to catch. Hope she stays out of the dog yard today.

It's interesting that you say that because they all looked significantly different to me. The one they gave us looks like a classic Aracauna and the one that was killed looked like a really dark RIR to me. I can't even remember the other one that disappeared early on other than that it was brown and yellow.
Doesn't surprise me though. They were always getting random things from friends of friends so these were probably just four random leftover chicks that someone local hatched.

We had their phone number when they were here but they've been unlisted for some time. Honestly, I don't think they would care. We have had their other bird for over a year now and they didn't express any interest in taking her with them when they moved.

I'm going to have to keep a closer eye on her around dusk. She disappears earlier than everyone else goes to bed so I'll have to get out there earlier than final treat time to catch her getting into the tree. Fortunately, she's only in the dog yard right after she gets up in the morning - I was afraid I'd have to deal with her every time one of my dogs had to use the facilities but she's smart enough to spend the day elsewhere.
