Well, since you live in AZ, you're very close to where a similar incident took place. The circumstances were very different from what you are dealing with, but the principles are the same.I have heard this happening many times myself. I have no idea how true that it is or how far it goes. It probably depends on where you live. Because I'm unsure, I definitely don't want to imply that they are dangerous.
Thank you for this very helpful advice. It sounds like something along the lines of, "Birds are shy and scare easily for their safety please stay back." may be the best route to go.
