Neighbor's rooster keeps visiting

He was never a problem other than his constant crowing. Now that we have 2 extra hens, one confused little "hussy" that intruding roo comes & takes her away daily. My roo then goes and retrieves her for late afternoon lock-up time. I never knew roos were so good about sheperding their hens! He leads them to the coop, then stands gaurd until I lock the door. He won't go inside, we have to place him in after dark after he's fallen asleep on his favorite roost - my lawnmower handle. This is working out for us so far.
 
Does your neighbor have any hens? Our roster did the same until we got him some hens. My stepson brought him home from a flea market last summer. We didn't know anything about chickens. He became a family pet and stayed home okay until Feb or so. Then he started wondering across the street to get with the neighbor's hens. So, we went back to the flea market and bought him 3 hens. That did the trick! He follows them around and guards them, and hasn't wondered off anymore.
