Next door is a flock of 3- i.e., 2 hens and a rooster, who occasionally come under the hedge up to the fence. I have 6 chicks, which I hope are all hens, but if I have a rooster, will he have to fight our neighbour some day? We have fencing but not too high to fly over. Are chickens territorial enough to stay at home, I am wondering.

How long has that flock been over there?
Have they ever flown over to visit?
How old are your chicks?
Would probably be good to have a secure run to keep your birds in your yard.

Curious if there have been any developments for you here? My next door neighbor just got two new roo’s and we have three. My yard is fairly secure but his is not. I’m concerned there will be an issue to deal with soon. How did your situation turn out so far?

Even if they do stay home, and I would not expect that, 5 roosters that close together is going to be a crowing contest nearly non-stop.
Oh it has been since they moved in. Luckily we don’t have too many neighbours. But it’s definitely been a non stop crow fest.
