I read that as long as we gather daily and egg is away from brooding then should be fine to just eat up normal. Guess he stays and gets a new name though. Was Helen Bertha after my mean grandmother. Now the chicken politics are making more sense.

Collecting eggs daily is just a good practice regardless of trying to prevent broodiness. But it will not prevent a broody from going broody who is truly got her mind set on it. But there are ways to break a broody if you don't want her to hatch.
Eggs will not start to develop unless they're being sat on for a length of time. There's nothing wrong with eating fertile eggs. I've been doing it for many years.

I have the one in question, one small all brown and four like the one on the plank. I was supposed to get 3 Cinnamon Queen and 3 Starlight Green Egger pullets
