Nelson, blind runner molting?

Hello Everyone!

I am a relatively new duck owner and have discussed a lot with you guys about my Pekins (Bentley who had the crooked neck) and then about Nelson (runner) who is completely blind and finding him a friend.

So I got home from work the other day to find Nelson looking like this with all of these feathers scattered everywhere. At first I was in a panic that maybe Rose (his girlfriend) decided to attack him. But he didn't seem upset in the slightest just going about his normal day to day life. So I am guessing he is molting? I just wanted to check with you guys though and make sure because I haven't seen anything like this happen to my Pekin's yet...

Were the feathers all piled up like in the lower pic, or did you do that? My guess from looking at those raggedy wings is that is a moult. Mine are starting as well.

No I piled them! They were scattered! I took them all out of the run so I could keep track if anymore of those long ones came out.

Molting going on here too, feathers everywhere.
