nervous about eating the eggs?

Maybe, but the eggs were fresh, used within a day of being laid.
I did some research right after it happened and read that it can be caused by either a virus or bacteria.
I just hope it doesn't happen again!

LOL, that's how I solved the issue. DH was resisting so I found a teacher at school who is wanting to hatch for her class. I'm providing the eggs and I get to keep the chicks. And I work at the school so I'll get to watch their progress! I think I'm slowing winning him over. We're definitely getting 8 new chicks, probably 4 others plus whatever we hatch and keep. He is missing the fresh eggs big time!
