I am very sad. It is day 26 and there is nothing happening. I am sorry to have to give up on these little ones. I guess I will have to plant them in my garden. I really think it is probably the incubator that is a problem here. I might have done something wrong too but this little incubator is really just not up to snuff. The cover doesn't fit tightly and there just isn't a lot of room! If any of my eggs had hatched, they would have been on top of one another, there's no room to move about! So, I built an incubator out of a styrofoam cooler and a lamp! It was pretty easy and, with a lot of tweaking and playing with wattage and such, I have a perfect steady temperature going and wonderful humidity happening! I bought some eggs on auction here on BYC and I am having another go at it! I hope with a better incubator (well, at least it a step up anyway!) and a greater number of eggs, I will have a better chance! The incubator is up and running and has held a steady temp for almost 12 hours, my eggs are due to arrive tomorrow, and will go into the incubator Thursday. Now, all I really need to worry about is USPS delivering me scrambled eggs! I have never ordered fertile eggs in the mail and have read horror stories of the terrible handling! Keep all fingers crossed that all the planets come in to allignment for me and I get a good hatch! Just like with my marriages, I'm thinking the third one's the charm!!! LOL
