Nest box bedding

Good morning everyone! I was hoping I might get some help. I would like to know what everyone is using for bedding in their nest boxes. I was thinking of using pine shavings. Please help!

I use pine shavings in one coop and hay in the other I like both equally.

Mine refused torn paper (figured it could be a good way to reuse paper) and straw. As soon as I started putting wood shavings in they started using the nest boxes.
