nest box for quail

I was told that coturnix quail will lay in a small box if you put it thier pen,is this true?

If you put them inside a closed box they will lay in it.

Coturnix don't really lay eggs,they just fall out of them where ever they happen to be. Most of mine usually wind up in their dust pan, but that's just where the hen happened to be at the time.

mine lay in the box though they do poop in there as well. They gathers the eggs in the corner of the box.

For us yanks its 2.5cm= 1 inch

Good luck training them to use it.... kinda like puttin' an elevator in an outhouse...

I bought some pens from GQF . The eggs just roll out & you get them from the outside

How long have you had those pens? Have you had any difficulty with them? How many birds do you keep in a pen?
