My first post!

I need a new nest box (a 10 hole) and while considering all the designs out and available, I began to wonder if a roll out or standard flat bottom is better if what my goal is is to produce eggs that I can hatch. Specifically, I wonder if the rolling can have a negative effect on hatchability.

I would appreciate all advice, suggestions etc. Currently, I have show quality Large Cornish, Orpingtons, Marans and Cochins, Wyandottes etc. but I breed for fun and the love of it.

Thanks in advance and for such a great site!

Hm. If you are planning on using a broody hen in this nestbox ever, flat bottom. If not, rollaway may keep eggs cleaner.
