nest box size-too small

I need someone's opinion, I had my housing built and am not sure if the nest boxes are height is enough.

They start and 12.5 inches and tapers down to 7 inches with a shingle roof/door to check eggs. It is 12 inches from front to back and then 17 inches wide.

Is this enough room for them?

Well, most posts say they need to be bigger, but mine are about that size and seem to be ok. Still, I have wished they were bigger.

Well mine have not started laying yet but I wanted to get everything ready for them. If yours work then I am sure they will for me. I was not so much worried about my silkie, but the cochin is pretty big. I got talked into taking them, and do not regret it. But I wanted to get set up before I took any hens!
