Nest Boxes in the Run???

A few if my girls have just started laying and I'm also about to finish their outdoor run. I have a nest box in the coop already (at war with them now about using it, but that story is in another thread), however, I'm wondering what I should and should not add to the run once I let them out there during the day. For example, I know they need water and food, but do you also put nest boxes outside or will they go back into the coop to lay in the nests there? I don't want to sabotage my training efforts to get them laying in the coop by putting something outside if it's not advisable. Do you all have boxes inside and outside? Thanks!

No they don't need nest boxes outside, they should return to the coop to lay.

I would not put any nest boxes in the chicken run. I want my girls to only use the nest boxes in the coop.

It shouldn't be necessary unless the run and coop are not connected.

Great - thanks! I'm struggling to get them to use the nest box in the coop already so I didn't want to confuse them or work against myself. Much appreciated. Now to get them to figure out where to lay in the coop... lol
