Nest boxes

I am planning to order nest boxes from Shop the Coop, sometime this week. Has anyone else ordered nest boxes from them? If so, how do you/ your chickens like them?

I've never ordered nest boxes I just build mine outta scrap wood laying around. It seems to be the most efficient way of doing it.

Built mine from plans I found on here. Plus I use to use old dresser drawers to start with.

I ended up ordering from egg cartons.com. I yhink I'll order from shop the coop later, and use them for my cookbook collection! LOL How many nests for 12 chickens?

I would provide three or four.

You'll find that everyone will want to lay in the same ones. There will be a couple favored ones and the favored ones can change day to day.......

I have 16 laying and they usually use three nests at a time...once in a awhile I'll find an egg or two in a fourth nest. I provide 5 for them.
