Yap, as already mentioned by ChickensRDinos , the reason to prevent them sleep inside is because they will poop inside nestbox, beside, if they already used to sleep inside nest box, wonder how difficult for hen to sit on the eggs when she's broody, she'll need to fight and if you forget to collect eggs at day, the chicken sleep inside nest box could broke it when they're sleeping inside.

Yeah I had that situation once where they used to they the egg and when were ou they will likly sleep on the ggs or stand on them now I have a special bed and now I will always make sure that all my chickens are not sleeping inside the nest box
