Thank you but I didn't think of the idea though.
I will have the poles on each box when finished. Haven't decided if I paint it or not, Have to wait and see.

Very Cool Looking! How big is each box?

Might want to put poles across each row of openings instead of the small pole you have on the one....not sure chickens can handle the smaller poles like a chickadee could.

I would paint it, be easier to clean, protect the chip board from gaining moisture and swelling splinters up, fill tiny voids that bugs like to live in.......lots of good reasons....use a dark color cause chickens like their nests dark and light colored paint might reflect too much light.

The boxes range from 11 3/4 to 12 Also the poles on front are close 10 inches. I probably want paint it. To bad they will only fight over one.

LOL that's true, didn't even think of that because I was so enthralled by the image.

Well, you could probably use some of the other bins for supplys....tho you know, if some of the nests are higher than their night roosts, they may end up roosting(and pooping) in your beautiful nests.

I know right
I thought about making four per box but i went this way it only took two pieces of osb.
It would be nice if I paint them I only got off white paint. It would look good for a day.
