Nestboxes And Turkeys

We have 6 hens and are getting 4 more this weekend (I know my DH already checked me into ChickenAholics Anonymous). We currently have 3 nestboxes and my wonderful carpenter DH is going to build more. Do I need one per chicken? I only have 2 girls laying right now as I only got them a week ago but the other day they laid in the same nestbox. How many nestboxes should I have?

Also, someone said to get a turkey to ward off hawks. Is this a good idea? Can it stay with my hens?

i believe its 4 birds to 1 box but i will be corrected if i im wrong

My turkey, a female, free ranges during the day with my chickens and sleeps in the coop at night with them. The chickens have real high roosts, and I have a lower one for big bird. So doesn't seem to mind it.
