Nesting Box Advice

How many nesting boxes should I allow? I will have approx. 40 girls. I've already built 8 and they look quite stunning with their coat of happy pink paint.

We have nest boxes equal to 1/2 the number of hens per coop.
This way they don't have to "wait in line" and rarely ever find eggs outside of the nest boxes.

I have 20 hens and 8 boxes and they all want the same nesting box

Jeez! My coop isn't even finished and I'm going to have to add on! lol I can easily build more boxes tho. That part was fun!
