I didn't cut out perfect holes, and maybe they are too small for some chickens and I will be adding a bar for them to fly up to... in other words its not finished I just slapped it in and took a picture so others can see a way to craft nesting boxes from Concrete Form Tubes. The 12 diameter tubes cost between $13 and $15, I just had mine laying around from when I built cat furniture as a hobby but my cats are old and just prefer a bale of straw to lay on so I started making Nesting boxes out of these. Mine is slapped to together but someone who takes the time can make a very attractive row of nesting boxes out of these at a fairly low price.

I have not seen them in 14 inches but I am sure some contractor supply places might have them. Lowes and Homedepot have 12 inches and I have not seen any larger than that. The 12 inchers are really 11.5 on the inside.

as far as a tight budget goes I usually just use a free cardboard box that I change out every 6 months and stick it in the darkest corner, sometimes I just let the hens lay and where ever they lay on the floor I put a cardboard box at that location... This coop has a few issues that made me want to direct their egg laying in a specific area so I used something i had in storage.

Interesting and creative...let us know who they work out.
Might be tough to clean out in case of a broken egg.
What will you use for bedding?
