I highly suggest a nesting box system similar to this one. It maximizes indoor space and makes for easier egg removal.

For roosts, the roosts should be at least 14" off the ground. You could attach the roosts from wall-to-wall or do a ladder system like this

Nesting boxes I just use plastic milk crates from flea markets and or plastic totes. They are cheap and easy to clean. For roosts I normally use a 2x4...I am simple, lol.

We used premade stair climbers, attached a 2x4 to each step and attached all of that to pallets on legs. Originally I had planned to have the space underneath clear so poop could fall through, but the chickens actually use that surface to avoid having to jump all the way from the top to the ground, so I’m glad I left it the way it is.
