Nesting

My female khaki campbell duck has had an open nest for a week. There's is now 7 eggs, but this morning when i opened the pen, she had covered her nest with hay. She hasn't done that except when she abandoned 3 eggs... should i be worried? Also, she isn't sitting on the eggs.

Covering the nest is a normal action. Has she set and hatched ducklings before? Not all duck hens will set.

No she has never hatched eggs. She is only 7 months old. She abandoned her first 3 and laid four more which i took for incubating and now she has 7 more. As i mentioned before, she only covered the eggs when she abandoned them which worries me... also she is a khaki campbell which i heard don't get broody as often.
