Artificial grass, not sure it is Astroturf as that is HD & expensive I believe; i paid like ~$30. Brilliant stuff for nests, I like it/they like it.Is that astroturf, or real grass?

I’m trying to draw up plans for one of these boxes, but I”m no carpenter and couldn’t figure out the change you made with the slope. Are you saying it goes from 5.5 and then levels out?I started with 3.5" over 24" and then added 2" more at the top that drops over the first 12. Too lazy to do the math but the eggs are rolling every time now. I was worried they wouldn't like it if they could feel the slant in the floor so I was trying to keep it minimal but they don't seem bothered at all.
In my case no, I had to increase my slope so followed this. My floor board is 24" wide with the front of the nest boxes 12" from the back. The floor continues on a slope to the front.I’m trying to draw up plans for one of these boxes, but I”m no carpenter and couldn’t figure out the change you made with the slope.
