Netherland Dwarf Rabbit Vicious

I have a female netherland dwarf rabbit who is mean and trys to attack me everytime I feed her.

What should I do with her, is there any way to calm her down?

I have had a few mean Rabbits in my day and I can tell you mine never got better.. I had on that took a leather glove up to my elbow just to feed.. I dont allow any mean animlas to live anymore.. If its mean at my house its food for me or my flock ..PERIOD

i have a mini rex make and when i try to pet him he lunges at me he isint like that out of the cage so is he just teretorial

I had a female netherland dwarf.. She got vicious on me when I bought her a larger cage.. I returned her to her smaller one.. She immediatly stopped being mean..??? The small cage was by far big enough for her. But when I moved her to the 4foot by 4foot cage ish when she got mean.. So it was back to the 2'x2' for her.. But she also had free run around time in the house too..

When I was younger we raised Rabbits for 4H and i had a couple little ones bite me. the bigger ones were genrally pretty nice & friendly. Maybe some are just nippy like Chihuahuas, lol.

It sounds like she hasn't been handled very much.

I just went and picked up a Netherland Dwarf doe for my daughter yesterday and she is pregnant with kits. I asked the breeder if she had ever had one of her rabbits bite her and she told me that she's never had an issue with biting. She handles all of her rabbits daily, even the kits, so aggression isn't a problem there.

I wish I had ideas as to how to calm your bunny down and have even more wishes for you and the bunny.

i have a dwarf rabbit that is grumpy in the cage but once out she is great, even lets my 19 month old niece torment her lol

My son had a male netherland dwarf and he was really mean. Bit my son so many times and hard enought to draw blood. On advise from another person we had him neutered. It did calm him down a bit but he was still mean. He got one day and the daughters former dog got him.

Got two more netherland dwarfs from a different breeder and the difference is night and day. This second breeder did not keep mean rabbits and her rabbits were just great.

Mean rabbits are not worth keeping.

got a standard broken castor rex who likes to thump her leg when you go to take her, but likes to snuggle.

I had a MEAN EVIL dwarf bunny and she was very mean! She never got friendly and she would kill anything you stuck in her pen ...

When I say vicious I mean she will take your hand off. I have to put in leather gloves and use a dust pan between my hand in her to get the bowl down.
She will literally jump up and try to grab my hand to bite me when I open the cage.

She literally barks when she is ready to go for my hand.
