hello -
wondering if anyone has any suggestions for some sort of way to enclose my hens without disturbing the real feel of being free range when they are not out in the yard with me. i am very new to the hen thing, new in last 2 weeks! the hens seem to be adjusting very well so far.
i have a long side yard, perfect spot for my 3 hens, a long run with 3 different enclosures, high fence at one end, but maybe only 3 1/2 feet high at other fences.
i have found the smallest of the three only once stuck on the other side of the fence, wanting back in, but i guess she couldn't hop back over. i think they roost on the fence,...
i have clipped their wings, but realize they can get out. of course i don't want them to get out and have a predator get at them.
i was thinking some sort of netting to attach from one side to the other from roof line to edge of fence.
not sure where i would get that sort of netting, and am on the hunt!!!
thanks so much,
anndee
