Netting.

Andy
All of my netting is made by toprite it cost more but it will last 10 to 20 time longer than the cheaper netting that are sold. I have both the knotted and woven type some are over 20 years old and still in good shape. Alot of netting that are sold on ebay and other sites are temporary netting it is not uv resistant and a year in the sun and the bird will be able to break right through it. This time next year you want have any trouble ripping it

I have all toprite netting also. At least ten years old. Like DMFarm said needs to be UV. Another reason I like the knotted is because I can add to or repair this type net easily (Im a charter boat captain and have to repair my cast nets sometimes too

Depends on what size you want, they have a toll free 800 # or a email address I called and talked to them and bought a 2"x 25'x100' that was a few years ago for about $110.00 or $120.00 I think.

You can also go to Cutler's they have all there prices available. www.cutlersupply.com

Yeah I have the same kind of netting...We have to fix it now cause it has several holes because we were not thinking about how the wooden poles holding up the netting would start to slowly work on the netting. Now we have holes.

What do you use to put ontop of the wood holding up the netting, we are thinking about using plastic coffee cans, would that work? We need to patch up the pen this weekend this wind we are starting to get will not help netting at all.

I got it from amazon I am not sure what it is called...It is thin but tough and it looks like the picture Andy showed. I like this netting a lot the birds bounce right off of it but don't get hurt. It took forever to get it up so I am sad to see it getting torn by the boards holding it up and having to always clean out the twigs getting stuck in it all over the place.

How tall is everyone's aviary/pea pens? Mine is only 8 feet and I already want to make it taller (and of course wider). MinxFox, thanks for the info about the netting. Whenever I decide to purchase mine, I won't get that kind. Sounds like the Toprite netting is the way to go. I guess I better start saving my pennies.
