We have a Rhode Island Red named Favorite that was attacked by either a fox or a dog a few months back. After inspecting her, I found she had a puncture wound on her back between her wings. I was so worried she would not make it, but very luckly with lots of attention and love she did. Her back healed and new feathers are almost all grown back. Well, that being said, she still seems off. Before she was the first one to escape the chicken yard and be out wondering the property for interesting things to eat, and now even though she walks around just fine, she keeps her neck pulled in, doesn't really jump, I haven't seen her fly at all and she always seems to be sleepy. I have actually watched her be scratching in the yard, stop, close her eyes and lay down for a nap. It seems so odd. Am I the only one that thinks she suffered some nerrological damage or something? She still respond when I call, "Come here, Favorite Girl", and she still goes crazy for seeds and strawberries but she's just different. Any advice, input, stories sort of the same? Thank you all in advance.
