TBH I actually know someone called Stephen and I call him the "smiley guy" because he always looks like he's smiling... so I don't know, you can think of him like that too...

You could also instead of making him smile and grin all the time, you could say something like "his eyes sparkled" - captures the feeling of him being happy or smiley without saying "whoops, he smiled, he smiled, he grinned".
Yes, using what Isa said too, I'm trying to work on expressing emotions in more ways too.
I just make too many happy people I think 😶‍🌫️

I don't think that's a bad thing... I'm a pessimist 99% of the time and my sense of humor is nonexistent so I like happy characters when they're not annoying
edit: I don't think Stephen is annoying, he's actually one of the happy characters I like :)

I'm actually like majority a pessimist 😭 But I think maybe that's what makes me lean towards my writing being more optimistic, I get to make all the rules so if i want happy, I'm going to have happy 😌

Also he needs to be happy to balance Thing or we're going to go nowhere-

Wait-
Did I miss this??
I think I've read some... But I just decided I liked him cause he looks cool and annoying characters are also cool 😌
Yeah whatever this is was him
