Nevadans?

Oh Kim! I LOVE Lavern!

Ya know I do too. LOL I think she's gorgeous. I have another pullet that isn't a bantam, but kind of in between that and LF. I have her in with my Shaffer roo who is a pretty big bird. Lettie is smaller, but darker Lav and I'm hoping to keep the coloring and add size. I have a run with an escape tunnel or something. Been trying to find it for 2 days. Lettie can get out! That means more chances of mixed chicks, but even more imortant, if she can get out, somthing can get it. I even wedged plywood and boards all the way around and last night she was out again. Matter of fact she's in the yard now. She's a Houdini bird!

Course I don't show so I don't care about SOP. I just love all the cuteness!
My Miss Bossy (the pink egg layer and why I encouraged you to not pass over her eggs) has feathered legs. Her mom was a Light Brahma and dad's an EE that has the blue gene.

I saw your post that you candled the eggs I gave you! How exciting that so many are developing!

Thank you so much for hatching these for me so that I when I sell eggs I know what I'm offering! I have the due date on my cell phone, can't wait to see what you get! How many of the Polish were developing?
Oh, I'm so excited!

Oh she is beautiful!
Most of the eggs are developing. I only tossed one Polish egg due to it not being fertile. 2 others look to be way underdeveloped compared to the others but since they are alive with some healthy veins (not as large a network as there should be though) I left them in there just to see if they will catch up. That means except for 3 eggs they are all developing normally! I always hate to say that though cause the old saying really is true...

But at least you know your roos are doing a great job!

well feather foot is my favorite not bold like the big ones or the roos and not shy like the small ones just fat and fluffy

Oh GOOD!!!

Wow, that's pretty good! So, I think you got about 40 right? Did you set them all? That's really good news if only 1 is out and 2 questions! Remember, the Polish are fairly new layers so you're hatching eggs earlier then you prefer. One non fertile out of a dozen with the Polish is about what I see when I checked them and my EE Roo, Big Daddy is a very good roo. He's a great flock protector and doesn't abuse his girls but does make sure everyone is serviced so I figured they'd all be good to go.

Here's the 2 babies I picked out yesterday from Candy. A BLRW & Ameraucanas. For now their names are Lacey & Amanda. Lacey is the BLRW and she hatched from a pullet's egg so she was the smallest one there. I promised Candy I would keep her updated on this little one, Candy said she almost didn't make it.

I took 40+ but only a third of them were Polish. The others are the green and brown eggs. You said the mixed eggs were all fertilized by an ameraucana roo, yes? And yes that is awesome for new layers!!!

Adorable chicks Sheryl!!!

Anyone want to head over the hill with me later in the week? I need to pick up more eggs and I was gonna wait til Friday but the weather is not cooperating again. Though it is a little early to make that decision I am trying to set up an alternate game plan.
