I don't know about inside city limits but the county building dept told me that anything 100 sq. ft. or more needs a permit. Anything smaller is not habitable (for humans) and doesn't need a permit. So your 8x8 coop is just fine.

Hey NIKKI , i was wondering if your red crested reds are feathering in faster than the others? Im trying to keep on top of the genders so that i dont get too attatched. My red crested red is bigger and much noisier than the others, but is also feathering in a lot faster. what do you think?
 
Hey guys, I have 4 roosters that need a home. I live in SW Vegas. They're about 5 months old. One is red and very pretty and other three are black. Anyone interested just let me know.
