Nevadans?

Guess what everybody? I'm gonna be a grandma again! Actually I think I already told you all that part, what I didn't tell you is that my oldest DD is having twins!!!

DD is feeling a little scared right now. She never counted on twins (even though they run on both sides of the family) and kinda feels like one at a time is a big enough job. Still we'll get more huggin' time with more grandkids to go around.

I told each of our four kids that I wanted 12 grandkids (which only comes out to 3 a piece) so this one says she's done now! She's made her quota with these two and her 3 year old DD!

So we are halfway to a dozen grandkids now!

The two girls have each given us three and the boys are still young yet, 25 and 20, so we can wait awhile for them to have kids.

And here I was thinking of the eggs you have in the bator - I thought

Congrats to DD and the lovely GrandBabe - she will be so excited to hold a "real" baby.

Course she might not be too keen on sharing her chicks.

There are no restrictions on how many you can have, unless you live in a HOA then they might pitch a fit or have some ordinance or something.

Wow, $5/doz. I have been selling mine for $1.50/doz. That is why I was complaining the other day about Craig's list cause there were ppl on there selling their eggs for $3 to $5/doz. and I was advertising mine at $1.50/doz. But then after I got about 50 responses the cold snap hit again and my girls went into moult and stopped laying. I was getting about 2 dozen a day and could not keep up with all of them and now I am lucky if I get 10 a day. Very very disappointing. I am glad that I only sent off one response (who wants 4 dozen/wk) before the girls cut back on their laying. 49 chickens and only 10 eggs a day. pffff

Can you tell I am sick and do not feel good? My IL's will be here tonight, last night both of my boys decided that they should get puking sick for the first time in 2 years. So I called them early this morning and told them I do not think it is a good idea to come down but they did not call me back until they were already in Winnemucca. They are gonna gamble for a couple of hours and then drop by tomorrow.

My house is a bleeding mess because I have had no energy to do crap for weeks so I have to get it spotless in less than 5 hours. And I am such a OCD freak about cleaning that I could never even consider hiring someone to do it for me. I would be the person that would kill myself cleaning the house before the maid showed up so she would not think I was a bad housekeeper.

Ok enough whining, I am sorry but I had to let off some steam. There is so many stressful things going on right now in our life but I would rather just complain about the house. Keeps my mind off my husband possibly losing his job.

So unless I get on at 3am or something I will probably be gone most of the weekend. You all have an awesome weekend, congrats on the twins Sunny!

Thanks everybody!
She's actually really good at letting us have a relationship with our granddaughter. The real problem is our granddaughter is a real Mama's girl and though she keeps saying she wants to go with me she always changes her mind when it comes time to leave Mom. She's ok for a few hours but anything over that and she will start to fuss for Mom. DD keeps saying she wishes she could send the little one to go visit grandma for a couple of weeks but she is only 3 and that wouldn't work for her.

Also DD doesn't like to ask for help when she needs it or even when she wants it. But she has admitted that the universe has been working on her about this and the twins are a good indication she is right!

Anyway she is eager for the help and we are looking forward to more new grandbabies!

Eglyntine how do you make any money when you only charge $1.50? It costs more than that to feed and care for 12 chickens each day!
I sure hope you and the kids feel better soon!
