Nevadans?

We’re in the talking and planning stage of getting some chickies.

I was given a pair of cochin “easter” chicks when I was a kid. Had to give them away when I went to college. That has been a long time ago. I came across byc when I did a google image search on mille fleur d’uccle ( I hope I spelled that right ) to show my other half this cute bird. And there in living color are mille fleur cochins posted ! OOOoooo, eye candy for sure.

My other half is not up on chickens and isn’t too thrilled with the other colors. But really likes the mille fleur. I’m hoping someone in the southern nevada area or near reno will have some mille fleur cochins for sale in the future. Right now I’m just collecting information so that when we are ready I will know who to contact. I really would like to avoid any sort of shipping through the mail as I have seen how those mail people treat packaging. Like arizona, southern nevada gets pretty hot in the coming months and I wouldn’t want any chicks sitting someplace waiting for me to come get them because the driver couldn’t find our address.

Hello,
I am in the Dayton area.
I am just setting up my incubator for the spring hatch.
I have had chickens in the past but I have been chicken-less foe a few years now.
I just bought 12 Americaunas, 4 Black sexlink 6 Red sexlink 6 Brown sexlink
and ordered 16 Americauna eggs. I just love the blue eggs. lol
ok now you know all about me. LMAO.

Sunny - Thank you again for listening to me bemoan and groan about my problems

I do have 3 pullets here from your hatch, so am good in that area (they really show the AM blood in them - built just like the 2 girls I did have). Hopefully the rest of Flrpl's chicks will be muffed/bearded. This one does have a nice fat, fat bottom - just what I was hoping to add to the EEs (just like me a meaty, heavy bird

). "Your" clutch (sunny's black birds) are so very athletic - flying almost 5 feet in the air - my fat dumpy chicks never make it that high into the air

Aubrey - how is that little showgirl chick with the slipped tendon - what about the others, how are they doing?

Welcome to te NV thread newbies!!

Genny, she is okay. I had x-rays done which cOncluded the the knee joint had dislocated and rotated itself. It had already started healing that way so the vet said she thought it would be best if we just left it alOne. She's on pain mess right now just in case. I absolutely love her to death. The other babies are good and are growing at an alarming rate. I am sellin three today ;(

Git Lost I am really looking forward to these chicks! I gave away 2 of my buff orp girls and now I miss them so much.

Ron does your friend still want these three girls? If she doesn't it's ok cause Carol's co-workers have been buying whatever extras I have now so I'm not feeling so overloaded with eggs anymore. If she still wants them that's fine too. I have a lot of babies right now and more coming!

Carol I have a few extra dozen eggs again if you are ready for more. I can drop them off at your job whenever you'd like.

Aubrey I'm glad your showgirl is healing! She's a cutie.

Genny no problem! Anytime. DH still home? I was hoping to steal you for some gab time.
