Nevadans?

I hope so!

I'm so sorry you are having to go through this!

yep, exact same thing that happened to me. showed they never even left texas and no one in the p.o. knew where they were (because they read the same tracking crap that we read which only works if the post people actually scan your package and most times they dont.)

They were guaranteed noon as well. They had gotten sent to the p.o. on washington and instead of them calling me they sent them back to the main one on vasser and those guys called me in the morning. Your chicks will be here manana! i promise this sounds exactly the same as what happened to me two weeks ago

I also have a question about one of my chicks. I posted in the emergencies section but that area seems to be garbage as far as people helping...

so ill ask you all since you have tons of chick experience.

One of my chicks who i am guessing is four or five weeks old has been bobbing her head lately. But more like a sideways bobbing....
it kind of looks like this

except the chick is tilting its head sideways, not going back and forth. Also she only does it for about 20 seconds then she stops for a while. Her neck is much longer than this chick since she is older so it looks VERY strange... is it wry neck? I thought at first she maybe had an ear infection or something

Yes indeed.

it works for the garden so it should work for the chickens

Aubrey - I have no idea if that is wry neck - but know the treatment is Poly Vi Sol infant liquid vitamin drops (non iron) - I found them in the Rx department - course I had to ask since we have no kids

Dribble drops along her beak, 3 drops or so daily - and I think it takes a week or so to see good results.

Probably more than once but I remember that day clearly. I was sick of waiting 10 years for more chickens (to keep anyway, I hatched them for my students). I was taking DS home from school, saw that Green's feed was coming up on the right and at the last second I swung in telling DS that since it was spring I bet they'd have chicks and I just wanted to look...

But actually I bought Obby the following day at Reno Rock and Feed because I wanted some BOs and BRs to add to the 5 chicks I got at Greens (Lakenvelders and Cuckoo Marans). Then I ordered some RIRs from Green's and then I got some sexlinks......... You know how chicken math makes your flock mushroom!

So within 2 weeks I went from 5 to 23.

Wait, that means I can't blame this obsession on BYC since I didn't discover you all until after I already had over 20 chicks! Oh well, my Dad always says shift of blame is an important concept to master so I don't feel too bad for blaming BYC for my chicken math problem.
