It looked terrible, so didn't bother to see it.... I don't think there has ever been a successful transition of SNL character to movie, has there?

So maybe Pat it is until it's a Patty or Patrick? Or not. When I had my ranch we had a default name until we could think of something better. For awhile there was Sam the cat, Sam the horse, Sammi the horse, a goose named Sam, Sam I and Sam II goat kids and a whole slew of Sam chicks. Not very orginal, I know, but at that time I was *really* bizzy.....

I'm an O-neg (universal type) and lacking a certain antigen.....guess I skipped getting that bug as a kid. On top of that, I've not been pregnant and so my blood can be used for both sexes. (There's your science factoid for the day: If you've given birth, female donated blood put into men causes all sorts of complications). It's kinda nice to think that my blood is used on newborns, cancer folks and burn victims...or whoever else may need it. Of course, the flip side is that if I ever need a blood product, I may be up the creek. I can set my clock by how regularly the call comes in at donor date. Nice, too, that they give all sorts of goodies -- food, theater tickets -- for donating. I joke that if they ever get a mani/pedi coupon, they'd have folks lined up out the door.

I haven't done platelets. The *vampires* have never suggested it.... although they sure would like me to give a double! I decline as that leaves me feeling rather, er, drained for several days afterwards.

Oh! You are a baby donor too?!!! That makes you ultra special!!! My Hubby is a baby donor. He never had that bug either and is O-neg. I think that is sooo awesome!!! Sometimes I'm even a little jealous. It took me ages to get him to finally come in and donate and then after complaining about it for so many years, we walk in, to donate now, and they are all smiles for him, telling him how special he is and so on and they pretty much ignore me.

I think I should get some kudos for finally getting him to come in at last! Ha ha

I'm joking,

I was really proud when we first found out. I couldn't wait to get home and tell all the kids that he was a baby donor! It is already so special that you rare individuals can donate to anyone but it's the fact that one donation from you can be divided into 4 newborn donations and that you are the only folks out there that can donate to babies that just tickles me so! HUGE kudos to you for donating!!! You are awesome!!!!!

Aubrey, do those chicks like having their chest rubbed? How is the middle toe feathering? I have someone (probably two - roo n hen) who are throwing non-feathered middle toe chicks......so will need to figure it out and cull them from the program.

Any one in the Reno are maybe interested in some Bantam Broody hens?

If you want to boost your iron and don't want to eat muchos liver, go with peanut butter. Or, even simpler, start taking iron supplements.

My husband donates when he can. He has a tattoo habit, though, which can muck up his donation eligibility. That and also for his work he's always getting vaccinated against this or that. Sigh.... The one time I got deferred was a couple of decades ago right after I had my ears pierced.... Oops! But I'm glad they're being vigilent. I always worry, though, that some recipient of mine is going to awake from surgery with a pretty good coffee buzz.....

Tyler we're not trying to ignore you but if anybody else is like me then typing is a very challenging activity even when I'm having fun on BYC. I avoid it like the plague whenever I can. Can your parents help out with typing a letter for you? My youngest son used to do all my typing for me, he would even type my responses to BYC for me, when he could, cause he says it is too painful for him to watch me trying to type!

It's terrible! I was in management for years but always had folks on staff that could do any heavy typing needed. He is super fast though!!! I miss having him around.
