Nevadans?

No problem! I'd feel the same way. I've never put up with a mean roo before and probably never will.

I'm a lurker here, but I'm going to jump in like I'm not. Aubrey, you've accumulated a lot of roo's while Petey was down. He's not happy to see all the competition and like people, he's taking it out on the ones who love him the most.
When my sweet Roo lost all 20+ ladies, he was not happy. Him and I went chest to chest ( mine is way bigger, just sayin'

) and I kicked at him and ended up with a spur in my thigh.

After that my husband and I carried something in our hands everytime we went to the coop.

Once our new chickens grew up, he was happy as could be. We pay no attention to him (except the occasional love scratch), the grandkids walk all around him.

I think Petey is re-evaluating his place in the flock.

Thanks for your input! But Petey had been well for a long time now. He has never been friendly to me. Even as a baby and teenager he was always biting my fingers and arms and panicking his ladies whenever I came around. We are really excited by how friendly the polish roosters are. I have never had any o my chickens be this sweet. I never wanted a showgirl rooster, it's just what happened. In fact, Petey was on craigslist when the raccoon attack happened. I'm just thinking this will be fine. I like my flock and I just honestly don't want to accompdate for one mean rooster. He's at that age now where his snobby personality is begining to show. It's not like he was super sweet to begin with or anything. But thanks for the advice!!!

Well then his personality is not situational and knowing the sweetness of the Polish, if Petey can be rehomed successfully, then you've done a darn good job!

When I rehome someone who's just throwing it all off, there's peace again. I can sit in my chicken chair, as my husband calls it! And there is peace in the coop.

I think I read you have someone to take him? Wonderful chicken world!
