Tear down is at 6pm tomorrow and they do need the help if anyone can make it. I know Lacey you are at least 45 minutes away and all but if you want to come and help and look at these pretty birds please do. You may even want to look at all of the poultry they have too. LOL

Hope everyone in NV is safe from the fire. Our town was burning for 2 months in 2008 and over 200 homes were lost, our town shut down and we lived in a constant state of evacuation. In a small town like ours, most people knew someone that lost their home or they did lose their home. It was a daunting time, not knowing from one day to another how the fire was going to act. The smoke covered and darkened the town and ash was falling so bad that people had to wear masks. It was like a war zone.

My nephews in Sparks are at risk of evacuation and trying to prepare for the worst. I pray that the fire lays down tonight and that the morning brings lots of heavy snow on the fire.

Tyler is showing several birds and man they sure do look great. I was very amazed seeing his birds. He's also trying to get rid of his mean roo but for some reason he's only mean to Tyler. Jack*** (think of another word for donkey) actually liked me very much. He's was very calm while I held him for an hour and a half. I think he just doesn't like Tyler.

Aubrey, I'm sorry to hear that darn it! You will still be able to get her nails done in the morning. They are planning on being there around 7:30am, the show starts at 8:00am and the judging will start at 10am. You should be fine. I'm going to be there at 7:30am hopefully. Call me if you need help or anything. I think you will do good. Don't forget to bring a chair with you.

Glad to hear things are calming. I think they were told to clean thier roofs and gutters and prepare. Sparks (no pun intended

) can travel an amazingly long distance and start more fires.

The fires in our town lost so many homes because of the ashes landing on the homes, not that they were all in the direct line of fire. On top of that, fire creates it's own wind and shoots off in many directions.

We live in a high fire area and have been evacuated 9 times due to fire. It's an unpredictable beast and I sure hope the firefighters safely get the upper hand.
